The Terrain setup window ( Job Settings )

   To open Terrain :

Method 1 : Home > Project Settings > Job > Modeling > Terrain .

Methods 2, 3 & 4 : In Modeling or the Drawing Editor , choose Settings > Job Settings > Terrain (classic), or use a keyboard shortcut , or click the icon pictured above.

Password protection: If a password has been set using the Change Setup Password utility, you can open this window only if you first enter that exact password.

   Settings :

Top of terrain: A positive or negative distance (in the primary dimension " Units " or other units ). This sets the global Z coordinate of the top elevation of the terrain. You do not have to restart Modeling to see this applied. Terrain is shown in Modeling when the User and Site Options > Modeling > " Modeling terrain color " and " Background color " are different.

Tip: In many cases, you will want to enter an elevation that is equal to the bottom elevation of the lowest column in your model.

Thickness of terrain: A positive distance (in the primary dimension " Units " or other units ). This sets the thickness of the terrain. The color of the thickness of the terrain is the User and Site Options > Modeling > " Modeling terrain color 2 ." Terrain is shown in Modeling when " Modeling terrain colors (1 & 2) " are different colors than the " Background color ." You do not have to restart Modeling to see changes in terrain thickness applied.

   To close Terrain :

   

"OK" (or the Enter key) closes the Terrain window and saves the settings on it to the Job Settings file in your current Job .

"Cancel" (or the Esc key) closes this window without saving any changes made to it.

"Reset" undoes all changes made to this window since you first opened it. The window remains open.
